The CUBE’s datapresenting abilities unite the advantages of database controller and table controller softwares. Similarly to database controllers it is able to store complicated connections of multidimensional data piles and presents them in flexible views and in a form accustomed in table controller applications. It supports preparing analysis and reports.
You can often experience the problem of multidimensional data analysing and data presenting in practice, because the data that present a company’s business process are usually multidimensional. We examine the connections betwen these data piles according to lot of point of view and dimension for preparing a decision. The company’s data are usually stored in a big data capacity database control applications for examinations. We can work with them usualy by dissecting them into different tables.
As a database contains all the connections of the data at the same time, the tables contain only a part of the connections. The data cube made from the database keeps all the connections and it can be well analysed and easily presented.
If we get the data of the database – with appropriate multidimensional query- in a form of multidimensional data cube, it will contain all the connections in the database and it will be able to present them. We can present the data stored in the cube according to it’s dimensions. We can combine dimensions free for presenting and we can regroup them anytime.
The CUBE mostly compares to a table control program, where the rows and columns of the visualisation table contain actually chosen dimensions. Arbitrary number of dimensions might be taken up in it’s data model, the constituent parts of a dimension might be organised into a tree structure with the demanded depth. The program is able to count the multidimensional data cube’s constituent parts – within a dimension- based on formulas, and to summarize the elements of the part dimensions. The values of the cube’s constituent parts can be only figures, because of the multidimensional character, textual fields can represent only the dimensions (row and column names). The program is prepared to handle the data ambiguities.
The CUBE might be integrated into various applications by it’s enclosing surface.The database’s multidimensional query might be set for the users by standard technics. The program might independently be used for modelling multidimensional data piles. The user can prepare a problem’s data model, and load it into the data cube by hand, or by copying it from an Excel table.
