Main objectivesALL’s main strategic research direction is to elaborate a coherent and scientific well founded methodology and technology that is appropriate for developing cognitive systems. To realise it the next researches are in progress in ALL: - Conceptual theory of cognitive systems – above all from the aspect of integrating various cognitive functions (perception, knowledge control, induction, studying etc.). The emphasis is on how a cognitive system is able to integrate these functions flexibly and on more levels.
- Developing united reasoning theory, control of reasoning operators and demonstration field – above all integrating the induction modes originating from various logics and MI paradigms into a united formal frame. Controlling plausible reasoning is particularly important and controlling the reliability degree of the deduced statements.
- United control of the language - communication instruments of cognitive systems – working out the theoretical and methodological questions of the technology that support communications of written and spoken natural language.
- United knowledge control of cognitive systems – working out united formal frame, methodology and instruments for knowledge representation and – development. Particular attention on knowledge acquisition methods.
