ALL worked out a lot of technology to support the medical systems informatics efficiently. That’s why we worked out special formal methods to formalize the medical thinking and problem solution and to represent the related biomedical disciplines and knowledge. Based on the elaborated technologies ALL worked out numerous intelligent medical information systems. The mutual character of these, are that beside the usual database handling they contain- in an explicit form- the elements of the relevant medical knowledge and the knowledge manipulation methods (reasoning, argumentation, modeling and simulation), that are able to prepare, extract data from the collected material, build up diagnosis, interpret the patient data and define the appropriate therapy. That’s why the elaborated systems are- almost without exception- knowledge based (intelligent) applications.
